Why It Matters
Thousands of Colorado families remain trapped in generational poverty and homelessness. The state's "solution" is to pay for services for families to survive. No one thrives, and it costs taxpayers millions of dollars each year. At BeyondHome, families have a chance to go from dependent surviving to independent thriving which, in turn, saves millions of taxpayer dollars.
In 2025, the five BeyondHome families who graduated from our Self-Sufficiency Program would have been eligible for up to $4M in public benefits over the course of their children's lifetimes (based on calculations from myfriendben.org). Instead, those five families are making their own way, paying their own way, and thriving their own way.
This isn’t just a tournament.
It’s a turning point.
